APULIA - GIOIA DEL COLLE (BA) - Masseria Santa Candida The Masseria is located in the Municipality of Gioia del Colle; structured as a court, it dates back to 1639, as evidenced by the plaque placed on the front of the church. It is composed by the main residence, dating back to 1800, enriched by a bell gable on the façade, a typical small country church with fresco, service rooms, depots and stables. Despite the stratification of interventions over time, the complex preserves an architectural homogeneity with sweet rural connotation, Mediterranean in the whiteness of the lime surfaces. Autochthonous crops kept over the centuries, extraordinary naturalistic and geological qualities characterize the Masseria Santa Candida. Underlying the complex, there is an extraordinary karstic cave. Today the cave, with the beauty of the concretions, the vastness of the environment and the landscape context, represents an extraordinary resource for the redevelopment of the Masseria and for the speleological and tourist activities still to be developed. THE LANDS - The complex is completed by the agricultural relevance, completely fenced with recently restored dry stone walls. The land has an overall extension of approx. 100 ha, including 30 ha arable land, 10 ha of olive groves (arable land) with 1200 olive trees, 60 ha mature wood for cutting.
