Stroll 3 blocks down 16th Street and meet a friend for a walk on the beautiful and verdant Greenbelt Parkway, which takes you through Manhattan Beach to the north and Redondo Beach to the south. Stop for coffee on the way home at the nearby Starbucks, where you can sit in adjacent Greenwood Park and watch the Vetter Windmill, which was built to provide water for a flower and vegetable garden over 100 years ago, and see the parrots that nest in its palm trees. After school, take kids to Seaview Park adjacent to Hermosa View School to play.Get fresh fruit and vegetables at the farmers market on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
