The villa is perched high on a peaceful bluff in 0.64 acres of tropical gardens overlooking the clean and calming waters of the North Sound and Atlantic. The quiet inlets and beautiful bays that stretch below the house beckon to be explored by kayak, sailing, swimming or snorkeling. Constructed in the tranquil high-end private community known as The Peninsula, the villa was designed in 2008 by Andrew Goodenough, the renowned Antiguan architect. The nearby beautiful white-sand beach and clear waters of Long Bay are home to many activities such as snorkeling, boating, fishing, and much more!
Gated access, colorful hedges and a beautiful stone driveway welcome you to the White House where there is ample guest parking and the convenience of a cool garage for your vehicles. The tropical gardens and stone work surround the house where it is easy to find sun or shade on numerous terraces and patios. The property extends all the way to the sea where it’s own private dock gives access to the water which will delight fisherman or boater alike. From the numerous terraces and patios you can see pelicans, frigate birds, egrets and even ospreys soaring overhead and flying fish, sea turtles and the occasional sting ray passing in the surrounding sea. The remarkable gardens welcome humming birds to the rich variety of palms and bougainvilleas.
The spacious open air living room is tastefully appointed and has large glass doors at each end to welcome the tropical breezes. This room flows beautifully into a gracious dining area with breathtaking views of the sea on two sides. Throughout the house travertine floors imported from Europe, red cedar doors and shutters with mosquito screens add to the charm of the home. Walking out onto the front terrace, which is lovely for breakfast or outdoor dining, you find a quiet place to rest watching spectacular sea views over the North Sound or a sunset against the silhouetted mountains to the West. The study to the East of the terrace provides convenient office space with wonderful views from the windows and doors. Below and in front of the terrace and study lies the large infinity pool with its own sun deck inviting for exercise, relaxation and sun bathing, complete with a shower, changing room and bathroom.

The Peninsula community is situated nearby to local attractions such as Stingray City, Devil’s Bridge, Betty’s Hope and in the region of high end hotels. For the explorer it is only a 20 minute drive to English Harbour, Nelson’s Dockyard, Pigeon Beach, Galleon Bay, Fort Barrington and Falmouth Harbour. Antigua is the centre of sailing and fishing in the Caribbean. It boasts 365 lovely sandy beaches, a zipline, tropical hiking trails and much, much more.
