Bring your family and immerse yourselves in our gated 7,000 acres of majestic wilderness while still enjoying all the comforts of home. Fall foliage in northern New Hampshire looks like the hills are on fire, wildlife abounds throughout hunting season, and we have some of the most un-touched hunting property in northern New Hampshire. Situated on a private lake, this is truly a unique setting ideal for intimate weddings, outdoor activities like foliage gazing or hunting, and connecting with each other. Amazing amenities include direct access to over 700 miles of snowmobile trails. Until the snow flies, enjoy unlimited golf on our 18-hole private Signature Donald Ross course that has been maintained to ‘winter cut’. It’s a walking course with breathtaking views into Canada and Vermont. And this is just the beginning...

Stay includes all meals, including four-course dinners, prepared and served by our own accredited Chef Gordon. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated – please let us know ahead of your stay. Groceries are sourced from the local area farmers and markets including the freshest in-season produce and seafood available. In addition, we can fetch fresh, local produce for you during your stay or other items from town if you would like. All gratuities are included. This service is the property fee of $1,000/night associated with the stay; if you desire no chef or food provided by us this fee does not apply.

The Residence: Our rustic Hale House, a beautiful lodge, is situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Gloriette and offers seven bedrooms, six- and one-half baths, and an enclosed porch overlooking the lake perfect for morning coffee and dining while watching the sunset reflect off the cliffs hung opposite the lake. The house has a fully equipped chef’s kitchen (with cook’s quarters), dining room, beautiful living room, pub room, and a private office/study. One of the bedrooms has a king-sized bed and ensuite bath, three have queen-sized beds and ensuites, one has a full-size bed and shares a bath with two rooms which have three twin beds total. The residence and property are of course, dog friendly. You’ll also have an outdoor BBQ, picnic tables, and game room for the kids (or the adults) with foosball and ping-pong. If you can tear your eyes away from the gorgeous views from just about every window in the house, there is WIFI and satellite TV available.

The Location: A 7,000-acre private playground that you have to yourselves (except for the moose and other wildlife that abounds) – you can enjoy the remoteness amidst some of nature’s most beautiful sights. Some of northern New Hampshire’s most pristine hunting exists on the property with an abundance of bear, pheasant, grouse, white-tailed deer, and moose. Want to be active? Enjoy 90km of restricted hiking, biking, or walking trails, or find yourself at one of three small mountain lakes to kayak, canoe, or swim in Lake Gloriette, just steps away from your porch. Rather just relax? Lounge in solitude by the lake, experience birding, wander through the fiery colors of fall foliage, fish for native trout, read a book, enjoy a quiet lakeside campfire with storytelling and smores during the evening, or simply take in stunning views of the Notch while the hummingbirds and loons entertain you. There are several roads throughout the property that are two to three miles long and are passable if you have an SUV if you prefer to watch wildlife from the comfort of your vehicle. Please note that some of the land is under conservation easements and there may be hikers far out on the property, but nowhere near the Hale House or golf course.

If you prefer to fly in, there is a private airport, Berlin Regional airport (KBML), only 40 minutes away. The airport’s elevation is at 1161.3 feet and its dimensions are 5200 by 100 feet.

• All of your meals are prepared by Chef Gordon, whom Les has worked with for 40 years
• Please inform us of any dietary restrictions so that the Chef can plan accordingly

• We can go to town and fetch things you need or forgot, but please know the selections may be limited as we are remote

• The Hale House features 7 bedrooms, 6- and one-half baths, and au pair quarters
• One bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bath, three have queen beds and ensuites
• Three of the bedrooms have and twin (3) or full-sized (1) beds and these share a bath of their own
• The enclosed porch overlooks the lake and is picture-perfect for dining
• The kitchen is a fully equipped chef’s kitchen
• The house has a full dining room, living room, pub room, and private office as well
• You’ll have access to laundry during your stay in the house basement
• Linens are all provided
• You will have an outdoor BBQ, picnic tables, and a game room with foosball and ping-pong
• Wi-Fi and satellite TV are available
• Bring your kayaks, canoes, fishing boats, bicycles, and hiking shoes if you desire
There are several kayaks and canoes on-site, and we do have several life vests for use as well (it is best to check with us so that we can accommodate your entire party)
• There are 90km of private and restricted hiking, biking, or walking trails
• The three lakes have native freshwater trout, two of which do not require a fishing license
• You will be able to swim at the sandy beach
• There is a lakeside firepit just steps from the porch, for evenings telling stories over s’mores
• You can sit on the enclosed porch and watch hummingbirds flit about all-day
• There are several 2-3-mile roads throughout the property which are accessible with an SUV
• Berlin Municipal airport (KBML) is only 40 minutes away
• The airport’s elevation is at 1161 feet and its dimensions are 5200 by 100 feet
• For health and safety, we will not be providing turn-down service during your stay
• Our Hale House will be well cleaned, and we are mindful of best COVID-19 cleaning practices
• For your safety, parts of the property that are under deconstruction are off-limits.
