Strada Di Val Di Pugna
SIENA Surrounded by the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside, we are pleased to offer for sale a historic residence set on a wonderful natural terrace from where you can embrace the whole city of Siena. The property appears as a large estate nestled among the green Tuscan hills, but fragmented inside as it is divided into two separate living units. The main complex, where the former historic Limonaia is placed, is now used as a refined relais, and has been restored preserving all the original charm. This is told through the architecture kept unchanged, the wooden beams exposed to the ' 700, the period furnishings of different provenances and the open fireplace of the ' 600, one of the many pieces of merit present in the house. The stay, the strong point of the structure, is framed by the pastel colors of the large windows that make it incredibly bright and are a natural picture on the beautiful garden. The large living area on the ground floor is completed by the traditional kitchen with a view island that synthesizes, in the stylistic choices of furniture and details, the rustic component of the House also with access to an uncovered space. Next to the entrance, a study area, a bathroom where the raw materials dissolve and at the same time enhance the modern furnishings of Philippe Starck, a space of result between the bathroom and the hallway that has allowed to derive many recesses for use Utility room and laundry. From the ground floor going up the stairs you come across a mezzanine to be used as a storage closet or additional wardrobe corner, and then a first floor where we find master bedroom, other wardrobe area and a bathroom, with Jacuzzi, with Characteristic view on roofs. Next to the Limonaia, the adjoining structure, always with exposed bricks, introduces us to another living area with double access on the outside, and five bedrooms, one of which is loft, all with en suite bathroom. Even in these environments the choice of colors, furnishings and finishes has played a key role in creating a different inspiration from the more romantic to that Moroccan style. If the first building has been perfectly renovated, the second one, used as a manor house, needs improvements. This, at least in its first nucleus, was built in 1729, as evidenced by a Madonna in glazed terracotta placed in a small frame of travertine in the north façade, and has belonged to the same family for almost three centuries. The dwelling, placed on two levels, opens on the ground floor on a large living room with dining room in exact correspondence of which is a terrace level usable as a relaxation area, a first bedroom, service, storage area and traditional kitchen with Original hearth of 800. On the first floor five rooms with three bathrooms, while the second ample spaces, to renovate, with incomparable views over Siena and the surrounding hills. Outside, not far away is a large shed/greenhouse on the surface of about 56 sq. m. All the property is inserted in a unique naturalistic context, whose valuable note is constituted by a garden dating back to the middle of the nineteenth century. The main role in the furnishing of the garden, are the lemon plants; Along with the lemons, exotic plants and wisteria pergolas that with their colours and fragrances make the outdoor environment magical, thanks also to the presence of a aviary and a panoramic swimming pool. The exterior completes a splendid olive grove in production of about two hectares, an orchard of about one hectare and a part used for the particular cultivation of saffron. Its strategic location, about five minutes drive from Siena, with its beauties, the Chianti wine cellars and the important spas, make this property a unique investment of its kind. Siena is about 70 km from Florence and its airport.
