His latest sale, which closed on Monday, was a red-tile-roofed Mediterranean-inspired mansion spanning nearly 5,600 square feet, according to county property records.
The Gretzkys bought the four-bedroom estate in July for $3.6 million, records show, and embarked on a campaign to modernize the previous owner’s dated interiors.
They replaced dark wallpaper and frumpy satin drapery with crisp white walls and minimal window treatments; and the home’s many maple-stained built-ins and fireplace mantels with black ones, according to images before and after.
The kitchen got one of the most dramatic updates. They brightened the space with white paint, replaced the countertops with Thassos white marble and added a trendy Paul Ferrante Sunburst chandelier, according to the listing with Engel & Völkers agent Nicole Van Parys, who was not immediately available for comment.
