The entirety of the 30th and 31st floors at the prestigious Pierre Hotel in Manhattan have become available for a combined $67.25 million.
A two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on the 31st floor hit the market Thursday, asking $7.25 million. The unit complements the duplex owned by late financier Lionel Pincus and his longtime companion Princess Firyal of Jordan, which just reduced its price from $70 million to $60 million.
Also on Thursday, the duplex was offered as two separate listings, with the 30th floor asking $37 million for its 12 rooms, and the six-room apartment on the 31st floor asking $23 million, according to the listings with Serena Boardman of Sotheby’s International Realty and John Burger of Brown Harris Stevens.
All the apartments can be bought together or separately.
Whether buyers choose to buy the duplex, the entire 30th floor, the entire two floors, or any of the two apartments on the 31st floor, they will enjoy the unmatchable views, lights and luxury amenities the hotel offers, Mr. Burger said.
"In the case of the Pierre Hotel, we found people want both large and medium-sized apartments, the different options will attract abroader universe of potential buyers," said Mr. Burger, who is also handling the new $7.25-million listing.
The duplex was purchased by Pincus, founder of the private equity firm Warburg Pincus, in the late 1990s and early 2000s for $22.6 million. After he became physically and mentally incapacitated in 2006 following cancer surgery, the property was entangled in a legal battle between his two sons and his companion, Princess Firyal of Jordan, Mansion Global previously reported.

Ms. Firyal, who got the property in the end, has been trying to sell it for $70 million since 2014. She couldn’t be immediately reached for comment.
Ms. Boardman didn’t return a request for comment.
Mr. Burger declined to disclose the identity of the seller of the other apartment on 31st floor. It wasn’t easily traceable via public records.
A triplex penthouse at the Pierre Hotel, longtime home to late financier Martin Zweig and his wife, Barbara, sold for $44 million last summer. The trophy property asked a whopping $125 million in 2013.
This sale was factored into the price reduction of Ms. Firyal’s duplex, Mr. Burger said.
