The former Toronto home of princess-to-be Meghan Markle is now selling for C$1.395 million (US$1.085 million).

The American actress, who announced her engagement to Prince Harry last month, was the most recent tenant of the eggplant-colored home, according to the listing agents at Freeman Real Estate brokerage, who spoke to local media about the home.

Ms. Markle lived in the three-bedroom, single-family home in the quiet residential neighborhood of Seaton Village—an area near downtown— while starring in USA Network series "Suits." Except for the pilot, which was shot in New York City, filming has mostly taken place in Toronto.

The two-story detached home hit the market on Thursday and is being marketed as "turnkey from top to bottom," according to the listing.

There’s an eat-in kitchen, landscaped garden and a fully finished basement suitable for a family room, the listing says. A detached two-car garage is accessible via alleyway at the back of the house.

Alex Beauregard, an agent with Freeman Real Estate, told The Globe and Mail that he doesn’t expect the sellers to get a "princess premium" despite its former residents.

"It's special because it's a detached with a detached garage in a family neighborhood," said Mr. Beauregard, who posted about the Ms. Markle connection on Facebook.

Mr. Beauregard did not immediately reply to requests for comment.

It looks like the owners of the home were waiting for their celebrity tenant to hit the road before selling the house. USA said at the time of the engagement announcement that Ms. Markle, 36, will leave the show at the end of the seventh season in 2018.

A publicist for Ms. Markle referred questions to Kensington Palace, which did not return a request for comment.
