Opera star Plácido Domingo, who was one of the "Three Tenors" alongside José Carreras and the late Luciano Pavarotti, is looking to offload one of his apartments in a tony Upper East Side co-op, and it could be yours for a song.

The Spanish-born Mr. Domingo and his Mexican opera singer wife, Marta Domingo, have just re-listed a one-bedroom apartment for $1.159 million in the Sovereign, a white glove co-op building in the posh enclave of Sutton Place, close to the East River.

The new price has been shaved down from $1.35 million when it was originally put on the market in 2015 and not much more than the $1.059 million they paid for it in 2008, according to city property records.

Records also show that the couple own several other apartments in the building, where amenities include around-the-clock concierge and doormen. There are only two apartments per landing to ensure privacy.

The apartment they are trying to sell has views of the East River, a large living and dining room suitable for entertaining, and a master bedroom and en-suite marble bathroom, according to the listing, which added that it’s large enough to be converted into a two-bedroom.

Best known for his part in "The Three Tenors," Mr. Domingo, 75, is an opera superstar, having played around 147 roles during his lengthy career. He is, however, not the only famous resident of the Sovereign.

Donald Trump Jr., son of President-elect Donald Trump, has acquired three adjacent apartments since 2009, giving him approximately 6,000 square feet of space in the building, and costing around $4.2 million altogether.

A spokeswoman for Mr. Domingo confirmed that he was selling the property, adding that it was not one of the couple's homes and instead used as a music library for several years before they moved it upstate. Alma Marko of Blu Realty Group, the listing agent, did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
