Theory co-founder Andrew Rosen is moving north in Miami—he’s snapped up a unit in a new development in Surfside after ditching his penthouse at the Setai Miami Beach.

The retail executive closed on unit 909 at the Four Seasons Residences at the Surf Club—about six miles north of his former Setai digs—last week, according to property records. He reportedly paid $5.15 million, according to The Real Deal, which first reported the sale. Mansion Global could not confirm the purchase price.

Mr. Rosen, who founded the contemporary fashion brand Theory in 1997 with designer Elie Tahari, sold his former Miami Beach penthouse in February for $8.5 million to a company managed by Brazilian businessman Jonas Barcellos Corrêa Filho, property records show.

Condos at the newly completed 119-unit Surf Club come fully furnished in shades of moss green and whites paired with light hardwoods and tile, according to the development’s website. Units have floor-to-ceiling windows and a separate entrance from the hotel.

Mr. Rosen who’s also invested in fashion brands Proenza Schouler and Alice + Olivia, will also gain access to the Four Seasons amenities, including three pool, gardens, spa and two restaurants.

His purchase follows that of fellow fashion mogul, Aldo footwear founder Albert "Aldo" Bensadoun. Records show the billionaire paid $10.25 million for unit 501 in the south tower, Mansion Global previously reported.

Mr. Rosen and members of the sales team at The Surf Club could not immediately be reached for comment.
