If only walls could talk, the juicy tales this Westchester, New York, home would tell. In 1956, it played host to the wedding of Marilyn Monroe and playwright Arthur Miller.

"While the two had a civil ceremony at the Westchester County Court on June 29, 1956, two days later, they held a Jewish ceremony and celebration at this home, which at the time was owned by Miller’s agent," said Gay Prizio, a representative at Houlihan Lawrence, the agency handling the sale.

Built in 1948, the colonial-style home is reminiscent of a French Country villa, Mrs. Prizio said. It was later remodeled and updated in 2000.

Beyond the charming façade clad in wood siding, interiors boast original details, including parquet flooring, molding, French doors, leaded windows, and European-style fireplaces. Light-filled rooms feature walls of glass and floor-to-ceiling windows. Elegant archways throughout further the country feel. Much of the allure here lies in the location: Set on over four acres of rolling green lawns, with verdant views stretching for miles, it’s the ultimate house in the country.
