There may be no finer area of your estate than the one that blends the best of both worlds—indoor and outdoor. But any near-perfect place could always use a bit more optimization.

Below, we’ve identified some gadgets that will bring out the best from the best room in—and out—of your house.

Riviera Bronze

Riviera Bronze sliding doors offer an elegant way to establish—and vanish—a border between the interior and exterior of your home. Available in solid steel and thermally broken stainless steel with a number of finishes (Metalized, Galvanized, Powder Coat, Marine Grade Paint), Riviera Bronze offers near limitless options for designing a wall of windows. Riviera Bronze constructs sliding door systems to the exact size, width and number of panels users desire, allowing homeowners to enact the precise vision they have for blending their indoor-outdoor space. And when it's time to open—or close—your home to the world, Riviera Bronze owners can simply select a button on their smartphone and set their full-length window doors sliding into or out of their concealing wall pockets.

Prices for the sliding-door system vary depending on the size of the project.

Mirage Vision Diamond

As an indoor-outdoor space offers ample opportunities for entertaining, you’ll want a television that offers the high quality of the best indoor units but is capable of withstanding the elemental assault of the outdoors. Mirage Vision Diamond televisions are built from a base of Samsung smart televisions—complete with WiFi-connectivity, built-in and downloadable apps and Samsung’s proprietary QLED technology that allows for brilliant colors in more than a billion shades. Mirage Vision then outfits the TVs with their proprietary outdoor calibration and picture processor that allows for indoor-level quality viewing while enveloped in the natural lighting of an outdoor environment. And just because a rainy day ruins your outdoor movie viewing, doesn’t mean it has to ruin your outdoor television. Mirage Vision’s weatherproofing process allows televisions to take the full beating of whatever the elements throw at it—including being placed in direct sunlight—without sacrificing anything in functionality or quality.

Mirage Vision Diamond series are available from 49-inches to 82-inches with prices ranging from $2,950 to $9,950.

Shadecraft Sunflower

Because humans aren’t as weatherproofed as outdoor TVs, there will be some times when the sun will make using your indoor-outdoor space decidedly more indoor. The Sunflower umbrella from Shadecraft, however, looks to even the score. A solar-powered umbrella standing 122 inches tall, the Sunflower features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Cellular capabilities to keep you connected, an HD camera for security and social purposes, a harman/kardon speaker for a superior sound experience and a hands-free voice control system. But the Sunflower’s best feature is how it fulfills its original shady purpose. The smart umbrella will automatically open at daybreak and track the movement of the sun, providing a full day’s worth of protection from roasting rays. At sunset, the Sunflower will automatically close for the day—unless instructed otherwise, which you may want to do, because in addition to everything else, the Sunflower is outfitted with lights, allowing it to serve a nighttime purpose.

Shadecraft has yet to announce pricing or a release date for the Sunflower, but interested parties can sign up at shadecraft.com for updates.

Haiku

Highly advanced umbrellas may not be enough to entice use of your indoor-outdoor space on particularly hot days, and pumping the a/c is not a viable option for practical—and environmental—reasons. Fortunately, there is Haiku. From the uniquely named Big Ass Fans, the Haiku is a perfect fit for the indoor or outdoor—or both—portion of your indoor-outdoor space. Haiku fans come equipped with a "Whoosh Mode"—a setting that simulates natural breezes by using a variety of fan speeds, allowing users to add an natural element to their room that embraces the elements. While the outdoor model of the Haiku comes equipped with a comprehensive remote control, the Wi-Fi-enabled indoor model has even more features, like the ability to control and schedule your fan from your smartphone, and a number of integrations with of third-party services like Amazon Alexa (for voice control) and Nest Learning Thermostat.

The Haiku is available in a wide variety of colors and styles for $995.
