The famed Studio 54 club founder bought the 3,700-square-foot residence from the developer in 2002 for an undisclosed sum, according to property records.

The residences have panoramic views over the river and the New Jersey skyline. Mr. Schrager’s home has a great room with 10-foot floor-to-ceiling windows that span 44 feet and overlook the Hudson River and Hudson Waterfront Park, according to the listing with Dennis Mangone, Madeline Hult Elghanayan and Kirk Rundhaug of Douglas Elliman.

An open floor plan brings the showpiece views into the kitchen, dining room and den. The views also extend to a balcony off the great room, floor plans for the apartment show.

Mr. Schrager’s ex-wife and former ballerina Rita Schrager, with whom he has two children, reportedly lived in the apartment for a spell, though she doesn’t own the swanky pad, according to property records.

This is far from Mr. Schrager's most expensive home. He's in contract to sell a$51 million penthouse at160 Leroy.

The 71-year-old developer of boutique hotels has marketed the home before. He listed it in 2014 for $16 million and again in 2015 for close to $10 million before taking it off the market for a couple of years. He could not immediately be reached for comment.

The home, which Mr. Schrager has had decorated with furry blue chairs and a collection of cushy-looking sofas, has a library, full-size laundry room and en-suite bedrooms.

The master bedroom also benefits from Mr. Meier’s glass facade, including a window-lined dressing room, according to the listing.

Residents at the Perry Street apartment building share a top-line fitness center, doorman and have access to room service from Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Perry Street Restaurant. Past residents in the building include Martha Stewart and Hugh Jackman, according to CityRealty.
