Sandy Gallin’s luxury compound in East Hampton got a $1 million price cut  Wednesday and is now asking $18.9 million. Property records show that Gallin bought the property in 2011 for $5.1 million.

But the house has been struggling to find a buyer for a while. Since hitting the market in 2012 for $24.5 million, it has had several price cuts, according to Zillow. Douglas Elliman’s Linda Haugevik, the listing agent for the property, said they, "sold it twice last summer but last minute the owner pulled out," and Gallin wasn’t very motivated to sell at the time. Nevertheless, after his death, the estate has become more aggressive with the sale by reducing the price.

Gallin, who made a name for himself in Hollywood for managing celebrities like Dolly Parton, Cher, Whoopi Goldberg and Nicole Kidman, branched out into real estate later on in his life. He was known as much for his career as for the lavish parties he held in his homes, according to reports.

Gallin died of cancer in April at age 76.

Its condition, according to Ms. Haugevik, is turn-key. "You don’t even need to bring a toothbrush because it’s already there," she said.

When decorating, Gallin really tried to focus on the details to make the mansion perfect, it doesn’t need a drop of work, she said. Attention to detail is visible, especially in the guest house, where the setup resembles a luxury hotel room.

Outside there are stone installations, carefully landscaped gardens with apple orchards and various entertainment areas. The house also features a pool, spa, movie theater, pool house, gym and a chef’s kitchen. Ms. Haugevik said the house flows seamlessly from room to room, and every room is connected. "Every placement of every object on the table is perfect," she said. "It’s more than just a house plunked on a piece of land."

The property is located in the exclusive Long Island town of East Hampton, right on the border of Amangasett, and just a short walk away from Indian Wells Beach. As for Further Lane, "most people that live there are notable in one way or another," Ms. Haugevik said. According to her, Alec Baldwin and Jerry Seinfeld live in the area.
