Recording artist and actress Ester Dean is selling her Silicon Beach, Los Angeles, loft and private recording studio for $1.35 million.

Ms. Dean, 35, who made her acting debut in the "Pitch Perfect" series alongside Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick—including the third installment of the a cappella musical comedy that is currently in theaters—has owned the live-work space at the Silicon Beach Lofts since 2015, according to property records.

She paid $1.175 million for the open loft apartment on the border of Venice and Marina del Rey, according to property records, and converted it to her private work space, including carving out a recording studio.

The home has an unfinished warehouse flair with vaulted ceilings, including a skylight over the kitchen and living space, exposed wooden ceiling beams and a steel frame staircase. Luxury finishes in the home include marble countertops, according to the listing with Rick Ojeda, Nick Segal and Shaun Alan-Lee of Partners Trust.

A buyer looking to live full-time in the unit could easily reconfigure the three-room recording studio into a master bedroom, Mr. Ojeda said. The loft in its current state has no closets.

"What immediately captures your eyeare the ceiling heights and the eclectic lighting," Mr. Ojeda said.

Developers converted the building over a decade ago into 30 units, each minimally finished to allow owners to reenvision the spaces. Ceiling heights vary from nine to 32 feet and units have industrial details like exposed mechanical and electrical systems and oversized commercial doors.

Ms. Dean has written songs for a laundry list of pop stars, including "Rude Boy" by Rihanna, "Come & Get It" by Selena Gomez and "The Night is Still Young" by Nicki Minaj.

The music hitmaker did not immediately return a request for comment.
