A townhouse in Manhattan’s West Village with interiors featured in the pages of House & Garden, British Vogue, and W hit the market on Monday asking $13 million.

City records show the four-bedroom home on Bank Street and West 4th Street is owned by Vanity Fair contributor and heiress Anne McNally.

Ms. McNally, the ex-wife of restaurateur Brian McNally, purchased the home in 1985 for an unknown sum, according to city records. At the time, it was a multi-family home, so she embarked on a complete renovation, said broker Leslie Mason of Douglas Elliman who shares the listing with Dexter Mason.

Then, about 10 years ago, she renovated again.

Ms. McNally "completely redid the kitchen, put new windows at the back of the house and redid the master bath," Ms. Mason said. "She made it more into a luxurious and open house than it had been before."

Built in 1899, the townhouse has original details like the wooden shutters in the sitting room, a wood-burning fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, a chef’s kitchen, a library, three terraces, a landscaped garden and a cedar closet in the basement, according to the listing.

Ms. McNally, who could not immediately be reached for comment, is moving now that her children are grown, Ms. Mason said.

Ms. Mason has already shown the home to some interested parties; some who are current West Village residents and some who would be new to the city.

Curbed first reported the listing.
