After a price cut in August–the 10th over two years—the estate of former Pabst Brewing Co. boss Harris Perlstein in the Chicago suburb of Glencoe, Illinois, sold Monday for $3.57 million.

In 1999, the palatial home sold for $6.95 million, according to the Cook County Recorder of Deeds. The current owner, who bought the home in 2014 for $4.8 million, originally listed it for $6.3 million in June 2015. Since then the price was reduced 10 times until it was listed for $3.9 million in August, listing records show.

The house was built in 1936 by architect William Pereira, who was later renowned for his work in California, including the Los Angeles International Airport’s space-age control tower and the Transamerica pyramid in San Francisco.

Curbed Chicago first reported the sale of the gated property off of Sheridan Road.

The estate is set on 2.2 acres. The grounds include a pool, terrace, a maze-shaped hedge, a spa and sport court.Inside, the house has eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms and four half-baths, according to the latest MLS listing. There is a grand salon with a sweeping staircase, a living room and formal dining room. The kitchen features commercial-grade appliances, and there is a sun-room, solarium and restored walnut library on the first floor. A gym/workout room and two full baths are located on the third floor, while the lower level has a family room, theater, barber shop and original Pabst bar. The estate also features a large renovated coach house, and a four-car heated garage.

Listing agent Wendy Freidlich declined to comment on the sale.
