One of the iconic "Seven Sisters"—seven summer cottages in Montauk, New York, designed by architect Stanford White and landscaped by Central Park landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted—has returned to the market with a price tag of $16.25 million.

The 2.5-acre estate on Deforest Road was last listed for $18.5 million in August 2016, listing records show, but removed a month later.

Built in the 1880s for Montauk land baron Arthur Benson and his friends, the seven residences, all listed on the National Register of Historic Places, were situated in the best locations with maximal views. This one, in particular, enjoys panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, bush-laced dunes and vast green moors, according to the listing posted last week by Sotheby’s International Realty.

Encompassing 3,800 square feet of living space, the classical shingle-style cottage has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, a sunken living room, dining room and library. There are six fireplaces throughout.

The interior of the residence has undergone a multi-year renovation while maintaining and restoring original millwork, windows and floors.
