T. Boone Pickens, the oil magnate and financier, has found a buyer for his $5.99 million Dallas mansion.

The mansion sold last week, according to listing records, after being on the market since October.

Built in 1996, the Mediterranean-style estate sits on more than an acre of land and spans 8,906 square feet. The three-bedroom house has two living areas, two dining rooms, three fireplaces, two master suites and a gym. A three-car garage is topped by guest quarters and on the grounds there are gardens, fountains and a pool, according to the listing with broker Ryan Streiff of Dave Perry Miller Real Estate, who did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Mansion Global could not immediately identify the buyer or the selling price.

Mr. Pickens, 89, bought the house in the neighborhood of Old Preston Hollow in 2005, according to property records.

"My Alva Court property in Dallas is a wonderful home with some incredible neighbors," Mr. Pickens previously told Mansion Global. "But as an 89-year-old single man, I’ve just got too much house on my hands."

A representative for Mr. Pickens directed Mansion Global to the listing agent for comment on the sale.

The tycoon is also selling his almost 65,000-square-foot Texas ranch for $250 million. Located in Pampa, in the Texas Panhandle, the property has its own airport, art gallery, chapel and an 11,000-square-foot kennel for hunting dogs.

Dallas News first reported the sale.
