Actor Ty Burrell has found a buyer for his Los Angeles penthouse, but he didn’t broker the deal himself like on his sitcom "Modern Family."

The 49-year-old actor’s two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse in downtown Culver City was listed for sale for $1.398 million and has just gone into contract, according to the listing, although the final sales price and buyer is not yet known.

Property records show that he and his wife, Holly Burrell, paid $865,000 for the penthouse in Culver Centrale, a mixed-use development, in 2010.

The two-time Emmy winner has played bumbling realtor Phil Dunphy in ABC’s hit show for seven seasons, but for this deal he hired Isabel Velez, a broker at Redfin. Ms. Velez did not respond immediately to request for comment.

According to the listing, the 1,680-square-foot, corner penthouse is one of the largest in the condominium building and has impressive city and mountain views.

Inside, there is a large open kitchen with all the modern conveniences, including Bosch appliances, hanging Edison bulbs, Caesarstone countertops and a four-stool island for entertaining, which has an adjoining living room with glass doors that open onto a balcony.

The master suite, meanwhile, also has a balcony, a large walk-in closet and a bathroom with a double sink vanity, tub and big glass shower.

In addition, the penthouse comes with two side-by-side parking spaces, which can power up electric cars, while the building has both cardio and yoga studios.

Mr. Burrell previously lived in Astoria, Queens, and Salt Lake City, Utah, before relocating to Los Angeles to star in "Modern Family," according to various media reports.

A spokesperson for Mr. Burrell did not respond immediately to request for comment.
