Actress Meg Ryan has found a buyer for her Manhattan loft, although she took 9% less than her initial asking price.

The 4,100-square-foot apartment at Mercer Street in SoHo was listed in February for $10.9 million with Barbara Hochhauser of the Corcoran Group. The buyer, whose identity is shielded by a trust, paid $9.85 million, according to property records filed with the city registry Tuesday.

Despite the price cut, Ms. Ryan still made a small profit after renovating and living there for four years. She bought the home from actor Hank Azaria in 2013 for $8 million, public records show.

The apartment was featured in Architectural Digest earlier this year. Ms. Ryan told the magazine that she had enjoyed "Meg-anizing" it.

"As an actor, you are so rarely in control," she told the magazine. "You’re always saying words that someone else has given you, standing in a room that someone else has designed, to create a reality that someone else wants to see. But with decorating I am in control; it’s a chance for me to bring my vision into the world."

Occupying the entire fifth floor of the building, the apartment has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a dining room with a decorative fireplace, and a media room with a large screen for watching movies, according to the listing.

Ms. Ryan, 55, who’s starred in romantic comedies like "When Harry Met Sally" and "You’ve Got Mail," and most recently in the drama "Ithaca," couldn’t be reached for comment.

Ms. Ryan has owned several properties in Manhattan. Her latest purchase was a $9.38-million apartment at celebrity-heavy new condo 443 Greenwich in June.

Ms. Hochhauser confirmed that the sale closed Tuesday. The buyer, represented by Jennifer Henson of Sotheby’s International Realty, plans to use it as a pied-a-terre, according to Ms. Hochhauser.
