The former home of "Law & Order: SVU" stars Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, located in the star-studded Los Angeles neighborhood of Bird Streets, is back on the market for $4.75 million.

The current owners, who have rented the home out in recent years, put the property on the market in September.

Ms. Hargitay, who plays NYPD Detective Olivia Benson on the long-running crime drama, was given the home with 180-degree views of Los Angeles and the canyon by her father, actor Mickey Hargitay, in 1996, according to property records.

The three-story home has about 5,000-square feet of living space, with five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. The front door opens into a double-height entrance and an open floor plan. The house also has a home theater, gym and a wine cellar with ample storage, according to the listing. The listing agent on the property is Roger Perry.

A guest unit connected to the house has its own entrance and kitchen, and the pool area has an enclosed cabana, according to the listing.

The house was in the actress’s family for decades, property records show. Mr. Hargitay, a Hungarian-American actor and 1955 Mr. Universe, bought the property in 1977 and built the house that stands there today in 1988, records show.

Ms. Hargitay, whose mother was the ill-fated Hollywood beauty Jayne Mansfield, sold the family house in 2006, the year her father died, for $1.56 million.

The home has sold twice more since that time. The current owners bought the home in 2014 for $2.475 million, little more than half the current listing price.

A publicist for Ms. Hargitay did not immediately return a request for comment.
