President-elect Donald Trump and his transition team currently have the mammoth task of filling 4,000-plus jobs as he prepares to move into the White House in January, and Washington D.C.’s brokers are expecting at least some of these new hires to be in need of a roof over their heads.

Washington newbies are likely to opt to rent rather than buy, since they may only need to be in the city a few days a week for the next four years. Here, we have rounded up a selection of luxurious rental condos—for the higher paid employees among them.

SOTHEBY'S INTERNATIONAL REALTY

Rent: $6,950 per month

This duplex penthouse in Georgetown’s East Village has just been offered as a rental home for the first time and Tad Stewart, a broker at Sotheby’s International Realty, has already received several calls from people who are about to move to D.C. to work in Mr. Trump’s administration and want to set up viewings.

The penthouse is in a historic building called Sheridan Garage, which dates back to the 1920s and was gut renovated and turned into 34 luxury condos in 2008. The 1,650-square-foot penthouse itself boasts two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a roof deck and parking space. The building, a former garage, has front-desk concierge and secure entrance.
