The grand Classical Revival mansion of Oliver Prinz von Anhalt, an adopted son of late actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, has come on the market for $4.249 million in Beverly Hills, California.

Prinz von Anhalt died in December following a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles that took place on the same day Gabor was rushed to the hospital and died at age 99. He spent a week in the hospital before succumbing to his injuries on Dec. 25, at 45 years old.

The "prince" was one of some 10 men who reportedly paid Gabor and her husband, Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt, millions to adopt them as adults so they could inherit the German noble title.

Oliver Prinz von Anhalt bought the columned estate, with its grand Palladian entryway, for $2.063 million in 2002 when he was still legally known as Oliver Bendig, according to records on PropertyShark. He later transferred the home to a trust named for his new aristocratic title.

He put the home up for sale in May for nearly $6 million, but the listing was removed following his death. The home has now returned to the market with a 41% markdown from the original listing price. Property records do not indicate who inherited the estate.

While he might not be of real royal blood, Prinz von Anhalt certainly lived like royalty. The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home was styled with the same Classical influences as Southern Colonial estates. The home opens into a chandeliered foyer with a sweeping, wrought-iron staircase, according to a listing with agent Amir Jawaherian of The Agency. The Agency did not return a request for comment.

The home has a wood-paneled billiards room and a separate wing with a guest room and staff corridor. It sits on a half-acre lot that includes a swimming pool and hot tub, a six-car garage and 24-hour surveillance.
