On Friday, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th U.S. president in Washington D.C., where he will live (at least some of the time) at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.. But, believe it or not, the White House isn’t as unique as you might think.
Around the world, there are White House replicas —mansions that more or less resemble the White House architecturally.

Here, a roundup of some noteworthy lookalikes.
Location: La Porte, Texas Status: Sold last December for $2.8 million
The neoclassical home has a roof lined with balustrades and a rounded, columned portico overlooking Galveston Bay that shares the appearance of the south-facing side of the White House.
Dubbed as "The First Texas White House," the historic 34-room mansion was built by the 31st governor of Texas and oil magnate Ross S. Sterling. The house spans nearly 21,000 square feet, with a ballroom spacious enough to entertain 300 people. The residence also features Tiffany chandeliers and pressed-tin ceilings. The home was sold for $2.8 million to an anonymous buyer through auction last December.
Location: Mayfair, London Status: Listed for £2.5 million (US$3.1 million)
The property’s white façade and grand entrance hall were modeled after the White House. It is also located in the U.S. Embassy complex in London.
"The Little White House" spans four floors with 2,773 square feet of space. The three bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms. A double reception room affords great entertaining space. The family kitchen and the dining room on the ground floor both have direct access to the landscaped garden.
Location: Dallas, Texas Status: Off the market, listed for $15 million previously
The exterior is a mirror image of the White House.
Sitting on a 3.3-acre lot, the 16,000-square-foot house has four bedrooms, five full bathrooms and four partial bathrooms, a home theater and a wine cellar. Outdoor amenities include a tennis court, a swimming pool and a loggia with remote-operated screens.
Location: Atlanta, Georgia Status: Sold in 2013 for $2.2 million
The exterior is almost identical to the White House. And inside, there is an "Oval Office" with a replica of the presidential desk, a Lincoln bedroom and the president’s private theater.
The 8,958-square-foot house, sitting on a 1.7-acre lot just off Interstate 85, is a scaled-down White House from the exterior. There are five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and three partial bathrooms. Fred Milani, an Iranian-American McMansion developer built the "Atlanta White House" in 2001. It last changed hands for $2.2 million in 2013.
Location: McLean, Virginia Status: For sale for $3.9 million
The exterior is a scaled-down version of the White House. And of all the replicas, this is the closest in terms of its proximity to the real one—it’s located just less than 15 miles from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Sitting on a two-acre estate, the 12,500-square-foot house spans three stories and has six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and three half-bathrooms. It also features a game room, music room, dance room, media room, gym, library and wine cellar. Outdoors, there is an in-ground hot tub and a pool with frescoes, a swim-up bar and a waterfall. It was auctioned last October for $3.9 million, but it appears to be on the market for the same price.
