Location:  Palm Beach, Fla.

Price:  $13.95 million This high-end home in Palm Beach has been described as contemporary architecture that stood the test of time, according to listing agent Bill Kirk of Sotheby’s International Realty. The home, built in 1981, was designed by the esteemed architect Milton Klein. The owners, who prefer not to be identified, took inspiration from a sprawling estate in Palm Beach that Klein had designed. The couple worked with the architect to build their own modern marvel, one that would accommodate the family’s active lifestyle. “Our family is tennis-oriented,” said the owner. “We wanted to be sure the lot was large enough for a tennis court.” The nearly 7,500-square-foot house is set on .65-acres. The estate features a Har-Tru tennis court, as well as a 60-foot long swimming pool with a hot tub. Glass walls in every room overlook the estate's lush gardens. The house has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two partial bathrooms. A sixth bedroom and a sixth bathroom are located in a cabana near the swimming pool. The three-car garage features a catering kitchen, which the family used during parties and events. The property has been meticulously maintained. The kitchen and family room were recently renovated; a new roof was added about three years ago. The couple is selling the estate because their children have grown and gone. They plan to relocate to a smaller home in Palm Beach. Agents: Bill Kirk and Cristina Condon of Sotheby’s International Realty View the full listing.
