The 5,000-square-foot house sits high on bluffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean

Save

Location:  Montauk, N.Y.

Price:  $29.5 million Unlike its traditional exterior, the interior of this house on Long Island’s East End features a sleek and modern design. The 3-acre estate sits high on the Montauk bluffs. “It’s very remote and rugged,” said listing agent Ed Petrie of Compass. Speckled with sculptures, the property belongs to art collector Adam Lindemann, who recently purchased Andy Warhol’s former Montauk estate from J. Crew CEO Mickey Drexler, as reported by the New York Post. Petrie declined to comment on the Warhol estate transaction. This house was built in 2004. Lindemann renovated the home after purchasing it; he hired British architect David Adjaye for the project. The two-story house, which is clad in wood panels, spans 5,000 square feet. It has six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and one partial bathroom. A library on the main level leads to the deck. The master suite has a built-in platform bed, concealed doors and views of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a home theater, a wine cellar and a 40-foot-long swimming pool.
