Backed by a nature reserve, the property is located in the prestigious Amanyara Resort

Save

Location:  Providenciales, Turks and Caicos

Price:  $9.5 million This villa on the northern tip of Providenciales offers a dose of solitude. The property is nestled within the prestigious Amanyara resort, which is perched on a promontory surrounded by protected parkland. “It’s quite remote,” said listing agent Nina Siegenthaler of Turks & Caicos Sotheby’s International Realty. “It's the only development on this side of the island.” The resort overlooks the Northwest Marine Natural Park, home to the world’s third-largest coral reef system. The Pond Nature Reserve—which includes two saltwater ponds lined with mangroves—runs alongside it. The Basics The property (villa 14) is one of only 22 villas in the resort. It consists of seven pavilions set around a man-made lake shared with one other villa. “There’s a landscaped island in between so you don’t see the other villa,” Siegenthaler said. The 12,395-square-foot home, built in 2005, has four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and one partial bath. Two additional bedrooms are available for staff.

Design Pedigree The home was designed by renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy, who has designed a number of global hotel projects from leading hospitality brands, including Aman Resorts, One&Only Resorts and Cheval Blanc. “He was instrumental in all of the villa’s details,” Siegenthaler said. Amenities Lounge by a private Balinese rock pool, which overlooks the lake. An open-air pavilion offers shade during morning yoga practices. “Each villa has a dedicated chef and a villa attendant,” Siegenthaler added. An added bonus: The property is only about a quarter mile from the beach. Additional Perks Villa residents have unlimited access to Amanyara’s wide range of amenities, including the restaurant, bar, beach club, spa and fitness center. There are also two tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, Pilates studio and golf simulator. The resort’s swimming pool is made out of volcanic rock. “It’s sunset-facing, which is pretty spectacular.” Agent: Nina Siegenthaler, Turks & Caicos Sotheby’s International Realty View the full listing.
