An island off the coast of Connecticut, including a 13,100 square-foot-mansion, has been listed for $25 million.
Rogers Island is located in the Long Island Sound off the coast of Branford, Connecticut, 75 miles from New York City and 19 miles from the Hamptons.

At just over 7.5 acres, the island contains a 10-bedroom mansion, which includes five full baths and five half baths. The island, which was listed on June 22, additionally boasts a detached four-bedroom guesthouse, art studio, in-ground pool and fully equipped pool house, tennis court, putting green, rolling green lawn, koi pond, waterfalls, two docks, three beaches and a greenhouse.
The listing agent for the island, Joe Piscitelli of Coldwell Banker, called the island "The Commander in Chief of the Long Island Sound," referring to the way it is perched above the rest of the Thimbles archipelago. "She’s just so perfect. It’s a magical island."
The island was purchased and developed in 1902 by Captain John Jay Phelps, a financier and yachtsman from New Jersey. Phelps, who renamed the island Yon Comis, is famous for being the first American to sail around the world via the Suez Canal and Cape of Good Hope. He spent his summers at Yon Comis until his death in 1948.

The island switched hands three times before the current owners, "island collectors" Christine and Edmund Stoecklein, bought it in 2003 for $22.3 million. They continued to develop and renovate, making the listing price of just $25 million a uniquely special deal, according to Mr. Piscitelli. Mr. and Mrs. Stoecklein could not be reached for comment, but Mr. Piscitelli noted that the couple is relocating to the West Coast.
