The slender skyscraper rising at 45 East 22nd Street in Manhattan’s Flatiron district is now 50% sold, according to the condominium’s developer. When finished, the luxury building will be 777-feet high, making it one of the tallest residential buildings in the downtown area. The 65-story tower will consist of 83 residences with no more than two units per floor. Designed by the architects of Kohn Pedersen Fox, the apartments will have floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Madison Square Park, the Hudson River and the East River. The kitchens will feature custom cabinetry and marble countertops; the master bathrooms will be clad in marble. Residents will have access to five floors of amenities, including a fitness center, a private training studio, a basketball court and a golf simulator. A terrace with a grill will be located off the card and billiards rooms on the fifth floor. The “Upper Club” on the 54th floor will include entertaining spaces with views of the Manhattan skyline. The library on the lobby level will feature a spiral staircase that leads to a mezzanine filled with books. Available units range from two-bedroom apartments starting at $4.83 million to full-floor residences with four bedrooms starting at $20.75 million. The penthouse residence has not yet been released. The property is being developed by the New York-based real estate development firm, the Continuum Company. Construction has reached the 44th floor with completion scheduled for 2017.

The glass tower will be 777-feet tall when finished.
