The Los Angeles home of the late Eagles guitarist and singer Glenn Frey sold Friday for $14 million, according to listing records.
The Mediterranean-style house in the city’s Brentwood neighborhood had been on the market since October and was asking $14.995 million. Mansion Global could not determine the identity of the buyer.

Built in 1996, the six-bedroom home is set off the street and behind gates. It has "unparalleled privacy, wonderful authenticity, sprawling grounds, gorgeous gardens," and richly detailed spaces, reads its listing with David Offer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, who did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The house also has a double-height entry, a formal living room with fireplace, a library, a master suite with vaulted ceilings and a terrace and a basement with a bar. The "resort-like grounds" include stone patios, fountains, rose gardens, a fully tiled pool and spa, a poolside cabana and a detached guest house.
Frey, who died last year at the age of 67, bought the Spanish style estate for a little over $10 million in 2002, property records show. He used an LLC for the purchase.

He was a founding member of the Eagles, along with drummer Don Henley. The band had five No. 1 singles, six Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, six No. 1 albums and are considered one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s.
