Socialite, businesswoman and ardent political fundraiser Georgette Mosbacher has put her Manhattan apartment in one of the most prestigious Fifth Avenue co-op buildings back on the market, with a lower price tag.

She first listed the full-floor residence on the Upper East Side for $29.5 million in January, but temporarily took it off the market in early June. Last week, she relisted the property for $27.5 million, according to the listing records.

Ms. Mosbacher, 70, the first chairwoman for the Republican Governors Association and a former wife of the late Robert Mosbacher, the commerce secretary under President George H.W. Bush, hosted many fundraising parties in the lavish co-op since 1992. Attendees included King Juan Carlos I of Spain, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher of Britain, Presidents George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Donald J. Trump, The New York Times reported previously. A spokeswoman for Brown Harris Stevens, the brokerage handling the property, confirmed Ms. Mosbacher to be the owner.

Ms. Mosbacher has led luxury cosmetics brands, such as La Prairie and Borghese. She frequently contributes to Fox News and this season appeared on Bravo reality TV show "Southern Charm."

Occupying the entire fifth floor, the apartment has a private elevator landing that opens into a wide gallery, a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a windowed gourmet kitchen, a formal dining room, a library and a bedroom wing with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, according to the listing with John Burger of Brown Harris Stevens.

The oversized windows and 20-foot ceilings amplify the natural light and views of The Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as other iconic structures.

Built in 1925, the white-glove doorman residence on Fifth Avenue was designed by Warren & Wetmore of Grand Central Terminal fame. The 14-story limestone building only offers 14 apartments.

Both Ms. Mosbacher and Mr. Burger didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
