Location: SoHo, New York

Price: $14.75 million

Known as Loft 2, this airy full-floor condo is in a new building on Wooster Street in the SoHo section of downtown Manhattan.

The second-floor unit has a large outdoor terrace that runs the entire width of the 70-foot-wide building, said listing agent Emily Beare. "It’s bigger than any townhouse backyard," with lots of pavers and plantings, a generous grassy area, covered pergola with an outdoor kitchen and a separate sitting area outside the master bedroom.

"You feel like you’re in a park," she said. "It’s an amazing house for entertaining."

The eight-story building only has six condos, four of which, including the penthouse, are sold and in contract.

Final construction details are wrapping up and the apartments should be move-in ready by mid-February, Ms. Beare said.

"These are very elegant lofts," she said. "It’s sort of old SoHo but in the 21st century."

"You have the feeling of a loft, but there are rooms," Ms. Beare said. "There is a lot of warmth with the units—you feel it when you walk in."

Loft 2 has drawn lots of interest and activity, she said. "We have three very serious buyers circling on it."

The keyed elevator for the apartment opens directly into a private entry gallery that leads to generous living and dining areas.

The chef's kitchen has state-of-the-art appliances, a large walk-in pantry, and a Danby marble island and countertops. The master bathroom features a custom Danby marble vanity, Danby marble mosaic floors and slab walls, six-foot soaking tub and separate water closet.

Other architectural and design details include 18-inch-tall millwork baseboards, large-plank fumed white oak floors and a fully integrated Lutron lighting system. Oversized windows bring in lots of natural light.

"Everything is floor-to-ceiling windows, and doors that open to the terrace," Ms. Beare said.

As an added luxury, Loft 2 has been pre-wired for a smart home automation system and Lutron motorized shades.

Stats

The 4,389-square-foot condo has four bedrooms and four full bathrooms. There is also a 1,907-square-foot private landscaped garden with an outdoor kitchen.

Amenities

Along with the great terrace, amenities include a sculptural gas fireplace in the living room, private-keyed elevator and a laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer. The building has a full-time doorman and storage in the basement.

Neighborhood notes

This new condo building is in the heart of the hip Soho neighborhood in lower Manhattan, with dozens of good restaurants and retail shops.

The building is brand-new, "but it fits in with what is already there," Ms. Beare said.

"This block of Wooster (between West Houston and Prince streets) is one of my favorites in Soho," Ms. Beare said. "It’s not a high-traffic street and you have a lot of design stores on it."

Nearby attractions include an Apple store, a Dean & DeLuca grocery store, Louis Vuitton, Equinox, Baltazar and the Mercer Kitchen.
