Antoine Verglas, a Paris-born photographer who is recognized for his documentary-style fashion photographs of 1990s supermodels such as Stephanie Seymour, Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford, has sold his two-property compound in the Hamptons for $10.5 million.

The two houses on Dunes Lane in Amagansett, New York, were listed together for a combined $12.5 million in July 2017. They were also available separately for $5.6 million and $6.9 million.

"This beach compound brought a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the buyer," said listing agent Carol Nobbs of Douglas Elliman. "Set on a pristine stretch of sandy waterfront in the Amagansett Dunes, and with the ocean just beyond the back door, this is one of the hippest spots in the whole of the Hamptons."

The sale closed on Tuesday but has yet to appear in online property records. Ms. Nobbs declined to disclose the identity of the buyer.

The compound has 2.8 acres of land, 200 feet of ocean frontage, and two beach houses with approximately 4,000 square feet of interior living space, which includes eight bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Mr. Verglas, who took a nude photo of Melania Trump for the cover of  the January 2000 issue of British GQ magazine, and which caused a stir when it was used as an anti-Trump ad campaign image during the 2016 presidential election, bought the two houses, using two different limited liability companies, for a combined $7.5 million in 2007, property records show.

Mr. Verglas declined to comment on the sale. He reportedly purchased the beach houses mainly for investment purposes, renting them out monthly or seasonally.

The luxury market in the Hamptons has been trending upward so far this year. During the second quarter, there were 61 luxury sales, with 49 homes, or 80%, fetching over $5 million.

The median sales price of the luxury segment, or the top 10% of the Hamptons market, reached $6.3 million, a 2% increase year-over-year, according to a Douglas Elliman report released late July.
