Derek Jeter, former professional baseball player and current part owner of the MLB’s Miami Marlins, is looking to score on the sale of his lakefront $14.75 million New York castle.

The famed New York Yankees shortstop listed the sprawling colonial estate in the village of Greenwood Lake, in Orange County, New York, last week and he’s set for a sizable return on his investment. Mr. Jeter, 44, paid just $425,000 for the property in 2003 through a limited liability company, property records show.

Built in 1915, the grand, greystone property has "been lovingly restored, with unparalleled attention to detail," according to the listing with Diane Mitchell of Wright Bros. Real Estate.

Ms. Mitchell declined to comment on the listing.

Set on four acres, the estate holds the main house along with a guest house, a pool house and a boat house, according to the listing.

The six-bedroom main house has two kitchens, a sunroom, an office, a game room, a formal dining room, an office and a family room with a bar, the listing shows.

There is also an infinity pool, extensive gardens, a lagoon and nearly 700-feet of lake shoreline. The house is about 50 miles from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

Mr. Jeter, who played for the Yankees for his entire two-decade MLB career, could not immediately be reached for comment.

He retired from baseball in 2014, and last year became part owner and CEO of the Miami Marlins.

The Times Herald-Record first reported the listing.
