British sisters and models Cara and Poppy Delevingne purchased actor and director Jared Leto’s Los Angeles home for just over $2 million, according to property records recently made public on PropertyShark.

The mid-century house, built in 1955, boasts more than 4,000 square feet of living space on a 12,485-square-foot lot, according to the listing. The deal for the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home was done in June.

Mr. Leto, whose many movie credits include "Requiem for a Dream" and "Dallas Buyers Club," bought the Hollywood Hills home for $1.65 million in 2006, according to records. It was originally listed in April for $1.9 million with Brian K. Courville of the John Aaroe Group. Mr. Courville declined to comment on the sale.

The home is also said to be the former abode of Jimmy Durante, according to the listing. The singer and comedian died in 1980.

The Delevingne sisters have been gaining traction as Hollywood actresses, and reportedly want to have a base in Los Angeles. Cara Delevingne, 24, appeared in "Suicide Squad" with Mr. Leto last year, and can currently be seen on screen with Dane DeHaan and Rihanna in "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets."

Poppy Delevingne, 31, will appear in "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" with Taron Egerton, Colin Firth and Halle Berry later this year. Calls to the sisters’ representatives were not immediately answered.

Covered in vines, the home combines privacy with a large outdoor space, the listing said. It is surrounded by landscaped gardens and a patio, with a lagoon-style pool. There’s also a built-in barbecue and a fire pit, plus plenty of room to host a few (or a few dozen) friends.

Inside, there is a large, light-filled living room with a fireplace. A formal dining room and a breakfast nook in the kitchen are also on the main floor. The home also boasts a secondary kitchenette.

The master bedroom has a lounge area, terrace and ample walk-in closet. Another smaller bedroom has a connecting office with a terrace, and a third bedroom also offers outdoor space, plus a bathroom with a soaking tub.

Should the sisters want to delve into the singer-songwriter space, as Mr. Leto has, the home has a recording studio. A billiards room with a wet-bar and a living area is adjacent to the studio.

Mr. Leto, 45, bought an eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom  Laurel Canyon home for $5 million in late 2014, according to news reports. The site, formerly called Lookout Mountain Air Force Station, was used as a defense site during World War II, reports said.
