A massive five-bedroom, 10-bath mansion in The Woodlands, known as the ‘Beverly Hills of Texas,’ is going under the hammer Aug. 18.

Previously listed for $6.75 million in February, the auction will have no minimum bidding and be without reserve, meaning that the highest bidder will become the new owner.

The mansion sits on 1.5 acres of land and has 11,155 square feet of interior living space. There is a "bonus room" that can be converted into a sixth bedroom or a fitness center, according to Platinum Luxury Auctions, which is handling the sale.

The current owner, an oil executive, purchased the home in 2013 for an undisclosed amount, property records show. A new home custom designed by Matt Powers Custom Homes was completed in 2016.

The home features custom-made doors, molding, French oak floors, and Crestron home automation system throughout.

Outdoors, there is a English-style garden surrounded by a pathway of herringbone limestone, a pavilion with wood-burning fireplace, a lounge area with a summer kitchen and an in-ground trampoline for children.

The Woodlands, about 28 miles north of downtown Houston, hosts the headquarters of major oil and gas companies, including Chevron Phillips Chemical, ExxonMobil, and Halliburton.

Most homes in the community range $1 million to $20 million, according to Platinum Luxury Auctions.
