A Beverly Hills mansion that was once home to Elvis Presley hit the market earlier this week, asking a cool $30 million, according to the listing.

The new listing price more than doubles its sales price of two years ago. Public records show that the 1958 French Regency-style estate last changed hands for $14.5 million in 2014.

The seller back then was Hard Rock Cafe founder Peter Morton, who had purchased the property for $9.8 million in 2012, according to Curbed. He reportedly planned to tear down the house and redevelop the property, which sits on Trousdale Estates, a neighborhood where Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ray Charles and Richard Nixon once lived.

Unable to fulfill his plan, Mr. Morton sold the property to its current owner who has not been identified, who completely renovated the residence. Now the 5,367-square-foot residence has three bedrooms and five bathrooms, with glass walls and sliding doors and sweeping city-to-ocean views.

Features such as a luxurious master suite, skylights, fireplaces and coffered ceilings are complemented by contemporary updates like stainless steel kitchen appliances, fresh paint, new flooring and an added laundry room, according to the listing.

Outdoors, there is a large patio with a fireplace, a resurfaced pool and spa, and lush lawns. There is also a guesthouse on the property.

Presley and his wife, Priscilla, lived here from 1967 to 1973, according to the listing from brokerage firm The Agency.

The listing agent and representatives for Ms. Presley did not immediately return requests for comments.
