Kilkare, a beachfront manor house in the Hamptons on Long Island featured in the 2004 movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," had $10 million cut from its price tag on Thursday, bringing the asking price down to $45 million from $55 million, listing records show.
Built in 1877, Kilkare is part of Wainscott’s exclusive Georgica Association—one of the few gated communities in the Hamptons—and sits on on 2.8 acres of land with 330 feet of ocean frontage.

This is only the second time in the property’s 140-year history that the home has been on the market.
The three-story house has seven bedrooms, nine fireplaces, 85 windows, a wildflower meadow, a pool, a Zen meditation garden and has been compassionately restored, according to the listing shared by Frank Newbold and Beate Moore, of Sotheby’s International Realty, and James Petrie of Compass. The listing brokers did not immediately respond to request for comment.
The seller is Eleanora Kennedy, who purchased the home with her late-husband Michael Kennedy in 1975, according to a previous Mansion Global article. Property records show the ownership is held through a limited liability company. Mrs. Kennedy could not be reached for comment.

Michael Kennedy, a prominent New York attorney, best known for representing Ivana Trump in her divorce from President Donald Trump, died in 2016 aged 78.
The property is a "quintessential Hamptons summer house," Mr. Newbold told Mansion Global previously, due to its classic New England shingle design and close proximity to the ocean.
