A European-style mansion in Atherton, California, owned by Alan Fangjun Yan, founder and chairman of China’s internet advertising giant AdChina, has hit the market for $25 million.
Sitting on an approximately one-acre gated parcel, the three-story house has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, seven half bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, formal living room and dining room, as well as a family room.
The home features hardwood flooring, four stone fireplaces, limestone countertops and smart lighting and heating systems throughout, according to the listing with Olivia Hsu Decker of Golden State Sotheby’s International Realty, who posted the listing last Friday.

"This home was built entirely with blocks of limestone, inside and outside, imported from France," Ms. Decker said, adding that the original owner took nine years to build the house, and the limestone and sandstone alone costed $7 million.
The 12,200-square-foot residence also includes an elevator, a limestone grand central staircase, a library with solid mahogany bookshelves, a wine cellar, a fitness center and a home theater.
Outdoors, there is a pool, a dining pavilion with full kitchen and a six-car garage.
The mansion is one of the most expensive residences in Atherton, home to many Silicon Valley billionaires, Ms. Decker said. Most homes on Tuscaloosa Avenue, where the home is located, are in the $10-million to $25-million-price range, she said.

Mr. Yan, 43, a former marketing executive at eBay who in 2007 founded the Shanghai-based AdChina, now a subsidiary of the global e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba, used a family trust to buy the California home for $14 million in 2012, according to records on PropertyShark.
He couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
