An Upper East Side townhouse belonging to New York City real estate tycoon Aby Rosen hit the market Thursday for $19.95 million, the second time it’s been offered up for sale in the past six months, according to listing records.

Spanning 6,300 square feet, the house has four bedrooms, including a full-floor master suite, a formal dining room, a media room, a gym, an office, an elevator, a garden and a rooftop terrace.

"The owner’s a very spiritual person so it has a great sense of positive energy," said broker Richard J. Steinberg, who is handling the listing alongside his Douglas Elliman colleagues Matthew Slosar, Emanuele Fiore and Alexander Mignogna.

Mr. Steinberg declined to identify the owner, but property records confirm that Mr. Rosen, 57, bought the East 78th Street home in 2004 for $8.4 million.

Mr. Rosen, an avid art collector, is the co-founder of Manhattan-based RFR Holding, which owns a portfolio of properties including the Seagram Building, Lever House and the Gramercy Park Hotel.

Mr. Steinberg told Mansion Global that the owner embarked on an extensive renovation and updated the house.

It was also listed, briefly, in June, also for $19.95 million.

"We had it on the market and then we took it off, literally after one week," Mr. Steinberg said. Though they had an overwhelming response, he said, "It’s always better to wait until the fall."

A representative for Mr. Rosen did not immediately return requests for comment.
