"Everything was redone," Mr. Pershall said, tastefully "balancing contemporary style with a warm atmosphere" that marries perfectly with the home’s stunning, oceanfront setting.

This spectacular clifftop home was used as the setting for the final scene of Clint Eastwood’s 1971 psychological thriller "Play Misty for Me," which is why it’s now called the "Misty" house,  Mr. Pershall said. (As an aside, Mr. Eastwood was a one-term mayor of Carmel.)
