At 1164 Fulton St., the home "was originally built in 1888 and underwent an extensive renovation in 2016," said listing agent Neill Bassi of Sotheby’s International Realty. "The restoration of the facade was based on historical photos from the 1800s, since over the years it had been drastically altered from the original design." In total, the process took nearly four years to finish, 26 months of design and permitting and another 22 months of construction.

"The interiors were intelligently designed with a focus on open and airy spaces," Mr. Bassi said of the light that pours in through the skylights, windows, and glass floor tiles, adding that the open concept was created to focus on "the incredible outlooks onto Alamo Square Park and the north views of the city.

"Jensen Architects is known for incredible design and a focus on craft," says Mr. Bassi. "They have designed projects in California, the U.S., and Europe, but they don’t primarily focus on residential, which is why one of their residential projects is so rare to find."
