How’s your spray game?

If you, understandably, haven’t spent much time thinking about your shower head, chances are you could use an upgrade.

Today’s highly engineered shower heads provide a more rewarding, more refreshing—and often-times more eco-friendly—experience.

Nebia

Utilizing modern engineering advancements that had previously only been applied to rocket and medical technology, the Nebia atomizes streams of water into millions of droplets, enveloping the user in H2O for a unique shower experience. And because the Nebia is literally doing more with less, it is a boon to the environment—and your bottom line. Nebia owners, on average, use 70% less water per shower versus the standard shower head user, according to manufacturer.

A single Nebia is available for $649; Two-packs are available for $1,250, and three-packs are available for $1,800.

Kohler Moxie

If the only thing that would make your shower more satisfying is the ability to "sing in the rain," then the Kohler Moxie is your shower head solution. This smart shower head comes with a Bluetooth speaker built-in, so it sprays sound in addition to streams of water. Simply sync your smart phone with the speaker and lather, sing, rinse and sing—provided you live alone, or can carry a tune.

The Moxie is available in a variety of colors for $199.

Delta H20 Kinetic

Featuring carefully placed, highly sculpted chambers devoid of moving parts, the Delta H20 Kinetic shower heads harness water's natural—i.e. kinetic—energy. By pushing the water flow through a series of oscillating vortexes, H20 Kinetic creates a wave-pattern spray that is dense, concentrated and retains heat better than the standard shower head—and with less water too. Providing three times the coverage of the average head, H20 Kinetic is a warmer, heartier shower without the waste.

H20 Kinetic Shower Heads are available for $351 to $498, depending on model.

Kohler Real Rain

If you’re looking for something more natural when you’re au naturale, have a look at the Kohler Real Rain. Using gravity instead of water pressure and featuring droplets of randomly varying sizes and placements, Real Rain aims to provide the perfect summer rainstorm shower experience—with temperature control, of course. Although Real Rain apes elemental exposure, users can call forth a torrential downpour with a simple tap of the "deluge" button; a useful feature for washing hair, for example. With thoughtful design and ingenious engineering, the Real Rain is the closest you’ll get to bathing outdoors—at least without being arrested.

The Kohler Real Rail is available for $2,150.
