A freshly completed mansion at Greystone On Hudson, a sprawling enclave on the former site of an eponymous early 20th-century Italianate castle, is on the market for just shy of $13 million.

The Georgian-style mansion, at 6 Carriage Trail, is built from quarried stone and pillowed at the very site it sits on. A 2,000-year-old Roman artifact was found there during construction in 2015 and is now displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, according to a spokeswoman for the developer, Greystone Mansion Group.

Situated on 2.83 acres at the end of a private cul-de-sac, the mansion totals 18,000 square feet, featuring nine bedrooms, 11 full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, a formal ballroom, a home theater and a wine cellar, according to the listing. The indoor fitness complex includes a basketball court, a rock climbing wall, a yoga room and a fitness center.

Still, one of the most interesting interior features is a two-story library based off of the design of the iconic Morgan Library built by Pierpont Morgan in 1906 next to his Madison Avenue mansion in Manhattan, according to a statement from the developer.

The estate overlooks the Hudson River, Tappan Zee Bridge, and Palisades Hills.

"One of the most impressive things to me is the gray stones used throughout the property," said Owen Berkowitz of Douglas Elliman, the primary listing agent of the property. "Full-time stone masons hand-cut and hand-crafted stones actually from the property to be used in the exterior, the walls and the fireplace."

The bespoke design details exhibited in moldings, textures, windows, window casing also made the expansive house "warm and intimate," Mr. Berkowitz added.

The home was first listed in 2015 when construction began; Work was completed last month.

The mansion is the second completed home in Greystone On Hudson, which plans to build 20 mansions on 100 acres of land over several years. The first completed home, was sold for $9 million in 2015, according to property records.

The development spans two towns, Tarrytown and Greenburgh, about 13 miles from Manhattan and right across from Lyndhurst, the 67-acre former estate of railroad developer Jay Gould. The area, known as Millionaire's Row during the Gilded Age, was home to many American wealthy families, including the Astors, Lehmans, Morgans, Vanderbilts and Rockefellers.

The historic Greystone Castle, built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was torn down in the 1970s after a fire.
