A condominium in one of Manhattan’s most exclusive addresses has hit the market for $31 million. Located on the 28th floor of 15 Central Park West, a celebrity-laden building designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern, the more than 3,100-square-foot residence includes three bedrooms, four bathrooms and a library. The foyer and the living areas have expansive views of Central Park. “This is really one of the best lines in the building because you have three exposures, all with amazing views, including the northern park view, which is quite special,” said listing agent James Morgan of Compass. The residence was recently listed as a rental for $70,000 a month, and was one of the units looked at by soccer player Frank Lampard, currently with New York City FC. A spokesperson for Lampard could not be reached for comment. The owner recently made the decision to sell the property. Morgan could not comment on the identity of the owner, other than it is an international entrepreneur who previously used the residence as a pied-à-terre. In 2012, former Citigroup Chairman Sanford Weil sold his penthouse at 15 Central Park West for $88 million, setting a price record at the time. The record was eclipsed in January when a duplex penthouse at One57 closed for just over $100 million. Notable names attached to 15 Central Park West have included Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein, actor Denzel Washington, hedge fund founder Daniel Loeb, actor Bruce Willis, musician Sting and racecar driver Jeff Gordon. In addition to a restaurant only for residents, the building features a swimming pool, a theater, a billiard room and a wine room. Write to Gina Faridniya at gina.faridniya@dowjones.com
