Actress Cate Blanchett and her theatre director husband Andrew Upton have placed their palatial Sydney estate overlooking the Lane Cove River on the market for around 20 million Australian dollars, or close to $15.3 million. The couple bought the property in 2005 for $10 million and has lived there for the past decade, according to The Guardian. Blanchett and Upton are moving to Los Angeles, the Daily Mail reported.

Two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett. Built in 1877, the estate, known as Bulwarra, is in the exclusive suburb of Hunter Hills. The sandstone-faced mansion has five bedrooms on the upper level, three of which open to a verandah overlooking the views. The master retreat features a skylit dressing room and a freestanding bath with river and garden vistas. The lower level includes a home office and a library. The estate has a pool pavilion, a tennis court, and parking for four cars. “Often regarded as one of Sydney’s finest heritage homes, Bulwarra has undergone a carefully considered reinvention that seamlessly links the old and new,” says Ken Jacobs, Christie's International Real Estate local affiliate, in charge of the sale.
