A private island whose size, shape and style you can customize to your heart's desire? The too-good-to-be-true idea could become a reality if Amillarah, an ultra-luxury floating private island developer, delivers on its promise. The Dutch company signed an exclusive agreement with Christie's International Real Estate to develop the floating residences, from Miami to Maldives, with the lead of designer Koen Olthuis, according to a release by Christie's written about in Forbes. The properties, says a brochure, are meant to be eco-friendly and last over 100 years.
