British Columbia’s Fraser Valley will have a new residential sales record if a newly listed home is able to sell for the C$26 million (US$21.9 million) it’s asking.

The 13,000-square-foot Surrey estate, which has served as the primary filming location for the past two seasons of  Lifetime television series "Unreal," is lavish to a degree rarely seen in the area. Michael Gleboff, communications director of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board, confirmed that it would be the highest sales price for a residential listing in the Fraser Valley region.

"If you’re looking for comparables out here, there isn’t any comparable," said Carolyn Glazier, a real estate agent for the home, which was listed three weeks ago.

The 72-acre Canadian estate is known as Villa di Fonti.

"It really was the vision of the owner, who just had a large piece of property and just wanted to create a masterpiece, really. It’s her vision that she brought to life," Ms.Glazier said, referring to design of the home,

The eight-bedroom home has a 10-acre vineyard, two lakes (one of which is filled with trout for fishing), a koi pond, an infinity pool and a helipad, according to the broker.

On the grounds is an amphitheater that’s wired for sound and has been used for weddings and other events. (The home has 40 parking spaces.) "It’s really a property for entertaining. For someone who loves to entertain in the finest, finest setting, it’s picture perfect," Ms. Glazier said.

Some have questioned if the price tag is set too high. The Vancouver Sun reported that the home’s assessed value is only $2.9 million (2.3 million USD). Ms. Glazier, however,  disputed this claim. The other listing agent for the home, Jin Ye of Sutton Group West Coast Realty, could not be reached for comment.

"I have no doubt it will go at the price," she said "Within British Columbia, if not Canada, this is probably one of the most spectacular properties that’s been viewed. "

Ms. Glazier said there’s been interest from both locals and international clients looking for a vacation property. In addition to the prospective buyers that have already viewed the home, Ms. Glazier said 10-more are booked for this week.
