A 9,622-square-foot, oceanfront mansion on Dune Road in East Quogue, New York, has just hit the market asking $17.45 million.

The property was built by its current owners in 2007 and sits on 2.7 acres of land. It has eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms and two half bathrooms along with living areas on both floors, a gourmet kitchen, a theater and a wine cellar, according to the listing with brokers Enzo Morabito and Gwenn Ramage of Douglas Elliman.

Outside there’s a pool, a spa, an outdoor kitchen and 113 feet of private ocean frontage.

The owners are parting with their home now that their children are grown and spending less time there, Mr. Morabito said. The property, "is made to be a family house," he added.

The wide lot the property sits on is actually three lots combined, rather than a narrow, "bowling alley lot type situation," Mr. Morabito said. He anticipates a buyer with a large family. And no doubt someone with a large wallet, too.

The home has some interesting nearby neighbors; New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning bought an $8.5 million home on Dune Road earlier this year. Meanwhile, a couple doors down, a glass-covered spec house just had a 10% price chop, bringing its ask down from $18.75 million to $16.95 million.
